Santee Lakes is more of a resort than a camp, meaning full hookups, there is a lot to do and many other amenities like pool, fishing, paddle boats, showers, restaurant and store. They have cabins for rent and easy access. I usually stay away from big public campgrounds, but Santee Lakes is very convenient for visiting family and running around San Diego county.
I stayed for a long 4 day weekend. I had planned to visit more but I caught a cold and mostly just relaxed in the Van.
I did get my walks in and found a few more geocaches in the park.
Looking forward to my next stay.
